after 67hrs i've decided to move on. some parts of the story had me captivated, while others left me feeling impatient. the overarching moral seems to be something that i didn't find particularly interesting or enlightening. the characters are fine and the setting was alright too, i'm just tired of being on chapter 3! the biggest flaw seems to be the length and lack of decent editing. some people think this vn is life changing. i am not one of them.

edit | 2/1/25 ; i can't stop thinking if maybe i was being too hasty in my assumptions. what i enjoyed, i REALLY enjoyed so i've decided to come back to this at another time ( probably after i've read a bit more of higurashi )

despite some pacing issues, i enjoyed this expansion. it was nice to have some character focus and help take down some imperials. i'm still tying up some loose ends like getting aether currents and unlocking raids but overall i'd say that this is a decent setup for the next part of the game.

all attempts that were made shove as much conservatism in this game as possible were lost on me and i pretty much decided that kanji is bi, naoto is trans, chie and yukiko are scissor sisters, and the protagonist runs away together with yosuke and there's nothing atlus can do about it.
