Aug 25, 2021 · Celebrating the VALORANT Esports community. Kyedae finished chemo! Though she's finished chemo, the cancer is not yet gone, and she's continuing with other treatments! This is still good news, though, and I hope her healing journey remains smooth till the end!
Kyedae has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (cancer)
AML is a "leukemia", so it's a cancer of your blood cells (white blood cells, red blood cells, platelets), so something like this could be picked up on routine bloodwork which should be done every year. You could have symptoms similar to anemia (pale skin, fatigue, weakness, etc.), since this cancer affects your red blood cells.

The 5 year survival rate for 20 and older is an average that includes ALL ages above 20. For ages 20-30, the survival rate is above 50%. 50 50 odds is not something to say she will win about.
