Georgia Mom Who Drunkenly Played Naked Twister With Teens Avoids Jail Time
The Georgia mom who played a naked round of Twister with a bunch of teens avoids jail time.
The notorious Georgia mom who allegedly hosted a boozy party for teenagers that included a totally nude round of Twister has escaped jail time. Rachel Lehnardt was reportedly sentenced to six years of probation, WRDWreports. Lehnardt, 35, must also pay $600 in fines and agree to drug and alcohol treatment.
Lehnardt reportedly first confessed to the incident during a conversation with her Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor, revealing she lost custody of her 5 children following the April 2015 party. The party, which took place in Evans, allegedly involved underage drinking, weed, nudity, and Lehnardt having sex with an 18-year-old party attendee.
"We believe in honesty," an AA sponsor not directly related to the case told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution following the initial accusations. "Most likely the sponsor will guide the sponsee to go ahead and take care of the issue." Police at the time said Lehnardt "admitted to lewd acts in front of the group," with Lehnardt alleging that she eventually fell asleep and awoke to her daughter's 16-year-old boyfriend having sex with her. According to a police report obtained by Augusta Crime, Lehnardt also admitted to showing "pornographic" images:
Lehnardt was charged with contributing to the delinquency of minors but faced no sex-related charges, as the state's legal age of consent is 16.
In a subsequent statement to WSB-TV, Lehnardt's attorney argued that "many of the allegations" had been exaggerated:
"She was arrested for furnishing alcohol and marijuana to at least two 16-year-olds," a Columbia County Sheriff's Office representative told the Atlanta-Journal Constitution following the initial charges. "That was not just what the AA sponsor told us, but what was told to us was also corroborated by witnesses that were in the home."
