Not In Sight

This pilot script was one of my earliest projects, deeply inspired by the concept of surveillance—drawing from the real-world example of Chinese surveillance and my own experiences as a kid, sneaking around the cameras in my house and learning the hiding spots. The theme of being afraid of your own creations is central to the story.

When I first shared this script, the pressure was intense. I felt vulnerable, knowing that others would be reading something so personal. It took me six months to complete, and even then, it didn’t feel finished. After some major rewrites, I finally feel at peace with it.

The idea of a surveillance state is terrifying, and while it’s dystopian for now, it’s a reality that feels all too close.

Two friends sell their surveillance system to a corporation, but when one friend disappears, the other must uncover the truth and dangers of their own creation.
