CREATIVE sketchbooks

The perfect sketchbook. There are many ideas about it, but no blueprint for it and no rules about how to use it. An outdoors sketcher will tell you how drawing your immediate environment creates far better memories than if taking photographs of the same subject, whereas a studio sketcher might tell you that working in the quiet of the studio allows them to dig deeper and explore ideas with no distraction. It’s horses for courses, there are no “should”s.

Be warned, though, there are quite a lot of rather perfect looking sketchbooks on social media these days, which are decidedly gorgeous but can be quite daunting to use
