THE BUILDER: Your first port of call

Most of us will, at some stage, want to have building work carried out on our property. This could be a small project – renovating a bathroom, for instance – or perhaps a large extension or refurbishment. Where should you go first for advice? Here I will lay out the main reasons why, in my view, a builder should be your first port of call — or, at the very least, brought on board to advise early on in proceedings.
