BEATRIX POTTER IN BACKSTITCH

was intrigued by the tip in Issue 305 (April 2021) to ’ design using backstitch only. I usually dread backstitch but had to give it a go and I’m so pleased with the outcome. I used one strand of blue perlé 12 thread on 18-count blue aida and found it easiestto complete the outline first. I’m a big fan of Beatrix Potter and have completed four of the six designs from the 2021 calendar (Issue 300, October 2020).
