Mother of Pearl
This delightful quilt uses five pastel colours — aqua, pink, lemon, green and lilac. There are five different fabrics in each colour — 25 fabrics in total. The design layout shows where to place each of the five colour groups, however you get to enjoy choosing the combinations of your fabrics within these groups. Template plastic is used to draw the shapes onto the coloured fabrics. The coloured fabrics are all cut out by hand. The cream background fabric is cut with a rotary cutter. The Interlocking Triangles and Arc units are created with freezer-paper appliqué and the Drunkard’s Path units are made with curved piecing.
Finished quilt size: 177cm (69½in) square
