    THE GIRL WHO KNEW NO FEAR

    Along time ago, in the land of Turkey, there lived a little girl who was never frightened of anything. In fact, she did not know what fear was!

    One night, there was a terrible storm that battered the little house where she lived with her mother. The wind slammed the door open, and her mother screamed.

    “Close the door, please!” she told her daughter. “I’m frightened!”

    The girl shrugged and calmly latched the door shut.

    “What does ‘frightened’ mean?” she asked curiously.

    “Oh, it is when you have fear in your heart!” her mother explained.
