IT’S been a guessing game ever since the palace announced her surgery: is the Princess of Wales okay? What’s really going on there? Kate hasn’t been seen since Christmas and the vague explanation about her absence – that she had planned abdominal surgery and would be out of action until after Easter – has fuelled endless conspiracy theories.
Then there was a glimmer of hope she was recuperating: a picture released by a US publication showed her in the passenger seat of a black SUV driven by her mother in Windsor.
A few days later we were treated to a lovely photo of Kate and her kids in a social media post to mark Mother’s Day in the UK in which she broke her silence, expressing her gratitude for the support she’d received during her convalescence.
But no sooner had the image gone up than picture agencies had removed it from their sites, saying it had been “manipulated” – and the drama, far from being
