Scan documents to JPEG format in Google Drive
The Google Drive app for Android (tinyurl.com/APC540drive) and iOS (tinyurl.com/APC540driveio) now lets you save documents you scan with your phone’s camera in JPEG format, as well as PDF. This creates smaller files that are easier to store and share, and edit in an image editor.
To scan a document to Google Drive, either tap the camera button in the bottom-right corner of the app or press the plus sign and choose Scan. Point your camera at the item you want to digitise and hold your phone still.
Google Drive will automatically detect the borders of the document and scan its content. You can then edit the result
