Dear Retro Gamer,

I was disappointed to hear about the US Copyright Office’s refusal to grant an exemption to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act that would allow researchers to access a library’s games remotely. I’ve been following the work of the Video Game History Foundation for a while and it’s disheartening to hear that its support of the Software Preservation Network hasn’t achieved a good outcome.
