    Author and filmmaker Brian Young is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation. He grew up on the Navajo reservation in Arizona. Brian earned his BA in film studies at Yale University and his MFA in creative writing at Columbia University. Brian currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.

      This book used an entertaining storyline with real-life and even funny characters to help bring to light past traumas related to genocide and relocation of indigenous peoples of the Southwest, ways to process that trauma and hope for the future. We listened to this story in the car with people aged 15-60. All of us found the book enjoyable.

      Well written book that thoughtfully confronts the most difficult individual and social issues humanity faces today. I also learned a lot about American history. Recommend.
