What a tour de force! I can’t wait to read more from her!

This is my second attempt to fall in love with this writer, winner of nothing less than the Nobel Prize in Literature, but there is something that prevents me from fully connecting with her writings.
I like what she tells, but not how she tells it; her way of writing is cold, indifferent, as if nothing could pierce her ice shell.
This time she tells us a chapter of her life in which, being a mature teacher, she had an affair with one of her students.
Truthfully, I think it's perfectly fine, being both adults, to let themselves be carried away by passion; wonderful. But... there is not a trace of that ardor in this woman's prose.
A reading that I recommend for its brevity, but not for the feelings it provokes. (Translated from Spanish)
