    John Cook is a retired business executive and amateur historian and writer. His two previous books are highly regarded family histories. Two journal articles have been published. "Shropshire Lads: The Lewis Brothers of St. Louis and Boston," was published as a four part article in the Journal of the Missouri State Genealogical Association. "The Case of the Falsified Resumé" was published in Minnesota History magazine.       dated info and a posing book should actually have examples

      This was a great book for beginner wedding photographers and those just starting out. It outlines the importance of planning, the best poses that make money (and those that dont) and therefore saving you from wasting your valuable time. The book is not too expensive for the newbie and is not too long for even an intermediate wedding photographer to review before going out on a shoot.

    The Practical Guide for Wedding Photographers

    First things first, understand this isn’t a book about technical stuff, not about pixels, not about white balance, not about f-stops and shutter speeds and not much about equipment. You should already know that stuff and be very familiar with your camera equipment before you ever take money to photograph a wedding. If you need help with composition and color try this Econohost guide. There are lots of good cameras and systems out there, pick and chose carefully and then learn your choice. Practice with it someplace besides at a wedding! Like they used to say in the Army your gun is your friend and it can save your life. Well, your camera is your friend and it can make you a lot of money if you learn how to use it. Learn what pictures to take that your bride and groom can’t live without!
