Introduction
If you carry a pack of cards with you, you’ll never suffer boredom if you get stuck for something to do while waiting in the airport for a late connection, or waiting for your date to finish primping, or waiting for the morning paper to be delivered, or…well, you get the idea. With a pack of cards, you can play dozens of different solitaire games—of which those in this little book are just a few—and kill time enjoyably.
All these games, except for the venerable Klondike―which is the classic solitaire game the world over―were invented by me one rainy vacation when I was stuck waiting for the sun to come out so the family could go to the beach.
