About this ebook

This is a story about the time my mother decided to play Dungeons and Dragons with me and my group. We tried hard in the 1980s to be just a normal group of kids having fun playing games and drinking pop. That hit an abrupt wall as you will see.

Comedy is a distortion of what is happening, and there will always be something happening. ~ Steve Martin

This is a satirical, if you will – humorous - take on what happened. Events have been added. Time compressed. In short: this is approximately what happened. Enjoy

Sundays in the 1980s were my yin and yang; they encapsulated the best and worst of life. See, on Sundays we had to go to Sunday School, and Church, every week. No breaks, my mother did not believe in taking a break from church - at that time. However, after Church we got our sin on: we gathered together to play Dungeons and Dragons. Hey! it was a small town the varieties of sin where extremely limited.

We would rush home from Church, tear off our dress clothes, slide into some comfortable clothes, slurp down lunch
