      INTRODUCTION

      Etymologically, prosperity means well-being or the betterment of a situation. All prosperity comes from God because He is owner of everything. Psalm 24:1 says: The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it..."

      The desire of God, our Father, is that His children enjoy everything that is His. In Luke 15:31 it says: Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. He didn’t spare His own Son so that He could come and save us. 2 Corinthians 8:9 says: For you know the generous act of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty you might become rich.

      Romans 8:32: He who did not withhold his own Son, but gave him up for all of us, will he not with him also give us everything else?

      3 John, 1-2: ...I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, just as it is well with your soul. If we accept Christ in our heart, He offers us the Holy Spirit in all its fullness. To learn more, read John 7, 37-39.

      It is important to prosper wholly. It does no good for a person to have a lot of money and good health but to spiritually lose her/his soul; likewise if your health were optimal and your spirit enviable, but you had no money not even to support your family; it would be contradictory to the mercy of God.

      An example in the Bible about prosperity is found in the book of Job; if we analyze the first chapters, we see that God enabled him to prosper completely; but Satan was envious and attacked Job in every area (financially, family, physically, and spiritually); this happens to the children of God. The devil becomes envious and seeks to rob or snatch blessings away from God’s people. He wants to destroy us; that’s why Jesus said in
