The Transient Soliloquy - Pradipta Roy Choudhury

    Evanescent To Eternity

Hesitant, she walks past the gate, and into the dawn,

Her eyes greets the petunias, newly born,

The fresh dew drops on petals and thorns,

Embraced with uncertain ecstasy, Darkness, is it really gone?

A creaking window opens, across the lawn,

A drowsy little girl, peeps through the curtains - torn,

Expecting someone, Or is it the fabled fawn?

That her grandmother told, to her belongs.

The crescendo of chirping birds, a piano song,

O sweet melody, new Diva on the horizon,

Evanescent this is not; this phase must go on,

Into Eternity, into the next Dawn.

    Cycle Of Life

There is someone, writhing in pain,

Longing to speak to you, for once, again,

Fifty-one years, lost sorrows to gain,

Life did start, all over again,

That your father had brought, along with the pain,

    Dreadful thought, of parting again.

Life took different paths, different ways it went,

Until the day, it converged again.

    Your Spirit Lives On

    You live in our flesh,

    Blood and soul;

    In the deafening silence,

    You converse with kindred folk.

    You desired to live on,

    By enduring pain,

Veiled the knowledge of your destiny,

    With unrestrained exuberance.

    Your transient prevalence,

    And pearl-glitter smile,

    Are etched, with your enchant,

In reminiscences - far and wide.

    Know that you live on,

    In the spiritual guise

    In hearts forever,

Of all, touched by your life.

    The Day Of Reckoning

The Day of Reckoning, thunder, and rain,

In the deluge of her teardrops, pain, she yearned to
