INTRODUCTION
Knowing you are reading these words, I can safely say you have taken the first step towards your intention to lose weight -
THINKING
The most powerful influence behind you achieving anything is your mind. Whatever has brought you to reading this book, seeking help and answers, is important for you to understand and keep uppermost in your thinking, whilst you read through the following pages.
My thinking over a number of years, and my actions stemming from this period of serious reflection, has given me a proven, no cost, way to lose weight which I have called The W.E.D. Method.
As a person who has led an active life and not found a need to concern myself too much about my weight, heading into my seventh decade on this earth, my weight kept sitting around the 85 kilo mark (185 pounds). I realised action was needed to get my weight down to what was more ideal for my height. My body fat level sitting on the maximum was another concern for my age.
In saying this, I was not intent on, nor had any desire of, starting a diet or seeking to lose a dramatic amount of weight. Being in control of my weight was my thinking whilst still being able to enjoy good food and drink, something truly warranted, expected, and reasonable, in my twilight years.
But, in ceasing full time employment, to become fat and obese was something I had real concerns about and definitely did not want to see it become a reality in my final years of life.
So for about three years now, I have become an ardent follower of what I have called my W.E.D. Method
of weight management.
Happily, my weight now sits around the 80 - 82 kilos (176-180 pounds), down by around 3 - 4 kilos (about half a stone) consistently and my body fat has reduced and is steady at 24%.
Now I do not claim this as an earth shattering result, but it is what I had wanted and it has proved to me that following this method could lead to even more weight loss if that is one’s goal.
It is important at this point to disclose that for nearly twenty years, I have been involved in the Fitness Industry in Australia. Owning and managing a health club; participating in Fitness Industry Associations at both NSW State and Australian Federal level; being the Australian and New Zealand Representative for the online standard in fitness management - FitnessAge.
