Sunrise To Legacy - Hattie James
Sunrise
Upon the dawning of every new day
I set my eyes up heaven’s way
I humbly bow at heaven’s door
And ask to speak to God once more
My heavenly Father I do say
I thank you for this glorious day
He looks down on me and smiles
And say, I give it lovingly my child
Now take each day as it comes
From early morn to setting sun
Be thou productive and sow many seeds
To all be kind and do good deeds
And when the sun starts to descend
Be assured that tomorrow - It will rise again
My Way
I wish I could sing a beautiful song
I really wish I had
A voice like that of an angel
That could make sad hearts glad
I would sing of life – love and beauty
Of the happiness in my soul
Sing of the wonders God blessed me to behold
But alas; I can not sing the words
That ears would want to lend
But words beautiful words I’ll write
Me and my trusty pen
Legacy
Shaka – oh Shaka mighty Shaka Zulu
You spoke to me Shaka and now I speak for you
I heard not of you in my years growing up
I’ve always known you mighty
