- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What a great book of poetry for kids. The publisher says, When is a list also a poem? When it's a list poem! List poems can be funny or serious, rhymed or unrhymed.
This book describes what a list poem is at the beginning and encourages kids to go and write their own. It also contains a number of list poems that kids can identify with. Simple things like what a group of kids do on and off the bus, the ties their teacher has, descriptions and things that identify the neighbours and of course a poem on snot. Lots of fun while also teaching a type of poetry. I absolutely loved the illustrations. They are fun, colourful, vivid and alive with action. This is a wonderful book for school and class libraries. It would also be a great one for family libraries and could be used to develop vocabulary in young children as well.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
