Writings from the Soul - Xan Tucker
Introduction
Dear Readers,
Thank you for taking the time to read my first published work. Oddly, I never imagined my first published work would be a compilation of my poems.
My poems tell some of my most personal experiences, yet here I am sharing with the world. Writings from the Soul is just what it implies.
These poems were written over the course of a decade and were sparked by some of my experiences when traveling the journey to finding love.
I appreciate you reading my poems and would love your feedback.
Happy reading!

Writings from the Soul
MY writing is the entry to my soul
The pain and hurt that was untold
The fear and love that was never exposed.
My writing isn’t for the shallow or weak
It’s for those who don’t mind going deep
And a better understanding is what they seek.
My writing is the little ray of hope
The creative way I cope
Uniquely me because my soul is dope.
This Time Around
THE first time I saw you
I had this overwhelming attraction to you,
I knew you’d be different from the rest
But this I would never confess,
I couldn't tell you at the time that your smile brightened my day
Or that I counted the hours that we are apart when you were away,
I couldn't tell you at the time that at night it’s you that I thought
