The Oasis of Life: Enjoying the Rewards of Obedience

About this ebook
As you read this book you will see that the same God who delivers and leads you will continue to be present as you finish your journey. The Children of Israel had completed their forty year journey in the wilderness and desert. Moses had led the people out of slavery in Egypt. He led them in the wilderness where the plan of God was clearly defined.
In the wilderness, God had refined the character of those who came through that dry period of their lives. But now their leader Moses is gone. And so the question is, “Who will lead the people now, as they go forth to conquer the land?” The people have left Egypt, but the exodus is only half complete. They still have not entered the new Eden of the promised land.
Each day of travel on this road has led you to the brink of enjoying the fruits of victory
mapped out by God. It has been a long road that has brought you through your desert experience to this point of crossing over into the land of abundance.
You have come out of the desert into the oasis of your life.
It means that there will be new challenges which will test your faith. But with those challenges, your new confidence in God and His faithfulness will shine in the dark hours. There will always be ample supply for every endeavor because you have been tried in the desert but now you will flourish in the promised land.
As you read this book you will see exactly what God has provided for you. Instead of sitting at Jordan's bank, you will arise with new faith and confidence in the promise of God. You will begin to speak the vision and allow God to take your words and develop them into the reality of the fulfillment of your dream. What you will receive is directly connected to how you believe.
Discover there is no limit on the blessings that are yours. Stake your claim. Mark the boundaries that you will establish by your faith. You determine how far you will go. You set the boundaries of blessings for your life.
Turn your back on your past. There is no room for the past in your present time. Yesterday is in the tomb, tomorrow is in the womb. Live today in faith to progress into your future.
Whatever the circumstances or walls that stand between you and entering into the land of victory, be consistent in your march of faith. You will enter into that land of rest and plenty.

Dedications
I dedicate this book to the Lord and Savior of my life, Jesus Christ. Your faithfulness has been so great and constant in my life. You have guided each step of my life. You have upheld me and kept me through all my years of serving you.
I also dedicate this book to my lovely wife Pat Dalrymple. She truly is the oasis of refreshing to me. She enhances my life and ministry more than I ever deserved. Pat is the completion to my life and I am so blessed that God gave me the best to complete this journey of faith.
I also dedicate this book to Reverend Mary Barratt for her concept for the book cover.
Introduction
Is there life after the trip through the desert? Is there rest for those weary souls after the times of solitude, and tests that you have experienced? Is there a real oasis — a place where you can find safety and sustenance?
The answer is yes. God has always intended for His people to enter into the place of real contentment and abundant blessings. The word oasis
literally means a fertile spot in the middle of the desert. Although the literal meaning of oasis is a green spot in the desert, it can also be used to describe a peaceful area in our everyday lives. God wants to lead us into that place of peace. The Hebrew word for peace is the noun shalom, often translated as peace,
and comes from the verb shalom. The verb shalom means to restore
in the sense of replacing or providing what is needed in order to make someone or something whole and complete. The noun shalom is one who has, or has been provided, what is needed to be whole and complete.
In other words God’s intent is for His people to live a life that has been fully restored and made totally whole and having everything completed and fulfilled. There should be nothing missing in your life that God has promised.
Life is full of changes. God keeps doing new things. We see it in biblical history, as God moves his people through various stages toward maturity, from the time of Abraham to the period of the Judges to the monarchy, finally to the Gospels. And we see it in the short history of our own lives. In fact many of us can probably remember many momentous transition points in our lives; our first day of school, first day on the job, graduation, our wedding day, the day our first child was born. Every change, however big or small, is a test. Every change that God allows is to show us how we will respond.
As I pondered the different cycles of life that I have experienced, my mind began to play a panoramic view of my life. I was called at a very early age to the ministry. I can look back and see the different schools of life that God had planned for me. It was difficult for me to sit still and allow God to mold my life into what He desired. Many of those schools of training were short periods while others were for a longer period. But now as I look back I can see where God put me in training for what I am doing today.
As you begin to read this new book you will see that the same God who delivers you and leads you will continue to be present as you finish your journey. The Children of Israel had completed their forty year journey in the wilderness and desert. Moses had led the people out of slavery in Egypt. He led them in the wilderness where the plan of God was clearly defined. Also in the process of the perfect plan of God being defined, God had refined the character of those who came through that dry period of their lives.
But now their leader Moses is gone. And so the question is, Who will lead the people now, as they go forth to conquer the land?
The people have left Egypt, but the
