(My Mother)
Have You Ever Tasted a Snowflake?
So Did I Tell You I Have a Daughter?
Always Remember
All thanks and praises to God
Our poem shall never end
Even as we lose strength
Our rhymes will forever be strong
Even if our pens run out
Our words will continue the race
Never slowing down
Continually increasing their pace
For as long as there are things to learn
We will teach each other
And when we are done
And there is nothing left to discover
We will go back and relive it all
Just for the memories
My Testimony
My mother called me her miracle because I was the only girl that survived
My first grade teacher was a dance teacher too
She forced me on that stage when I was 6 yrs old and I have been dancing ever since
Praise dancing at my 6th grade graduation
They said saying Jesus was against the rules
Attempting to take the savior out of the schools
They changed the words to My life is in your hands
With knowledge I can make it
With courage I can stand
My life is in good hands
I prayed my heart out and dance before my God
The praises filled Blaine Auditorium, people were dancing and crying
He answered my prayer
God show them you, instead of me
Never forget the day my doctor told me I had a stress fracture in my back
Had to quit the step team, use the elevator at school and even had a special book bag
He said I shouldn’t dance anymore
Wearing back patches and braces everyday
Getting help from my mom to do everyday activities
(Taking a bath, shower, going to the bathroom, walking up the steps even getting in the bed)
I asked God to allow me to dance for him without pain
He still keeps his promise, seven years later
God I honor you!
One day I decided to take a long walk in a place that I have never been before
I laid in the street waiting for a car to take me out of my misery
The note in my pocket read Bury me next to my grandmother
The sun blinded me, right in my face
As if God was looking right at me
I felt a hand touch me and reach to help me up
Still don’t know who that person was or how I got home
Safe to say that was the hand of God and he guided me home
My mother read poetry to me, gave me a journal at a very young age
Three important lessons she taught me
1. Never forget God, always put him first.
2. Always be yourself, and strive to be a
