PREFACE
My name is Cpl Nathan Knight and I was deployed to Afghanistan with 3/4 Lima Company 2nd Platoon from October 2009 to April 2010. This book was written during my time there. The main idea behind this book is to voice concerns, thoughts, and points-of-view both from Afghanistan and the people back home. I would like to communicate the feelings we all experienced during that time. Most people will never know what we went through and I hope they never have to. However, I would like for America and everyone in general to at least get a taste of everyday life for those in the military and the people at home supporting them. It is my sincere wish that the poems and stories in this book will convey that emotion to the reader. Thank you for your time and your consideration.
