Try the Healing Tongue of Almighty God

About this ebook
The tongue is a very powerful instrument.
Humans brandish the tongue, as if it is an instrument created by them.
God owns the tongue, even the tongue that you have. Listen to Proverbs chapter eighteen, and verse twenty one Death and life are in the power of the tongue..
The children of Israel spoke against Moses, their spiritual authority; they spoke against God, their creator. This is what the tongue can do. This should not be so.
First Gods tongue will cleanse, according to this book, and then it will cause deliverance through the cleansing, and lastly heal whatever situation someone finds himself. It is a book of healing if properly utilized.

Try the Healing Tongue of Almighty God - Silvanus Okeke
Part I
How and Why the Tongue
Should Be Used
Chapter 1
The Tongue
Your tongue is fire—do you not know it? The New Testament’s book of James uses the analogy of fire in regard to the tongue four times. This same tongue used in praising our God could be used to damage the entire globe. This is how mighty this little instrument in our mouths could be.
James 3:5 speaks of the tongue: Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
It goes on to say in verse 6, And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defieth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
This book calls into play the variegated modes and methods through which the tongue can be deployed by its owner, and how God (through His will) can deliver those who trust in Him, using individuals and groups and the help of the human tongue.
In His infinite mercy, God created the tongue not only to enhance communication and networking among His creation but also to carry the fire of prayer through believers. It is possible that He added this particular instrument to enhance flexibility in man. He certainly did not mean any harm, and yet today man uses the tongue carelessly and too often for destruction.
An ordinary person thinks of the tongue only as an instrument or organ of communication, but it is much more than that. It is an instrument of praise.
In this book, we want to survey:
I. The gifts of the tongue presented in the inspired Word of God
II. The misuse of the tongue, especially as relates to anger
III. The tongue as a physical organ of the body
IV. Speaking in new tongues
V. Positive uses of the tongue
VI. Sins of the tongue
VII. Slander
VIII. What is so powerful about gossip?
IX. What is the very best way to keep something confidential instead of misusing the tongue?
X. Walking more in the Spirit—the best way to control the tongue
XI. Using the tongue to achieve deliverance through prayer
Our tongues are gifts from God. Having a tongue does not in any way indicate a curse. However, the purposeful use of the tongue is very important because we use the tongue to connect to and blend with our God.
Psalm 34:13 recommends that we keep our tongues from speaking evil and our lips from speaking guile.
This means that human beings are known for speaking evil a number of times in one day. Is this not true?
Consider, for example, someone we’ll call Jena. Jena never tells the truth. Can you imagine living in a home with someone who does not tell the truth? This constitutes an evil spirit that must be dealt with. If Jena tells you to come to her, it means you should start running. This is how dangerous this could be. Yet this negative form of communication came from the tongue.
By talking, man conducts meetings, seminars, lectures, teaching, conferences, conventions, teleconferences, prayers, preaching, and a host of other secular and non-secular activities. In each case, the use of the tongue is of paramount importance.
Think of a situation where teaching and preaching of the Word of God is punctuated with lies and innuendos. We have false teachers all around us. When the tongue produces falsehood in this way, the entire body of Christ is affected in a negative way. This is why we need to bridle our tongues.
The tongue should be used in the edification of the body of Christ, not to increase problems in an already troubled world.
How do you think David communicated to his people in his time? If he misused his tongue, then God would never have referred to him as a man after His (God’s) heart.
This mode of behavior is what the modern Christian (after redemption through our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ) is expected to exhibit. A good example of a positive and effective use of tongue is demonstrated in 2 Chronicles 20:22: And when they began to sing and to praise; the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir which were come against Judah and they were smitten.
Good tongues prevailed, and God Himself took over the battle and vanquished the enemy.
The Tongue as a Physical Organ
Jena always told me that she wanted to control everything that came her way. My question to her revolved around how she was going to do this. She said, by using her tongue effectively. Jena is not alone. Most women (especially Christian women) think that life should be controlled in this way. However, it is not expected to be so if one is conversant with the Bible. The tongue is a physical part of the body and interacts closely with all the other parts. The tongue is in the mouth—a small member of the body—yet it can pull down families, cities, and kingdoms.
The Gift of Tongues
The apostle Paul, while writing to the church of God in Corinth, insisted (beginning in 1 Cor. 12:8) that Christians have diverse gifts given to them by the Spirit. Verse 10 of 1 Corinthians 12 talks about divers kinds of tongues
and the interpretation of tongues,
and concludes, But all these worketh that one and the selfsame spirit, dividing to every man, severally as he will.
Verse 12 embellishes this by saying, For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of one body, being many, is one body: so also is Christ.
We see, then, that the gift of tongues is present in the inspired Word of God and must be used for the edification of the body of Christ.
The gift of tongues can be demonstrated when a speaker can communicate in a language that is unknown to him or her. Some tongues are false, while others are real. However, it is difficult to discern one from the other, especially when both are practiced during church services.
In 1 Corinthians 12, it tells us, now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren I would not have you ignorant.
The Scripture goes on to say, that no man speaking by the spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed; and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same spirit.
Have we ever wondered how ordinary men and women can turn into fire-balls in the hands of God? Do we merely call it one of those things in the culture of the church
? To the uninitiated and to persons who are not grounded in the Word of God, speaking in tongues can raise controversial issues. However, Acts 2:4 records, They were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Whom should we believe? The Bible or loafers by the wayside? When people are filled with the Holy Spirit, they may speak in tongues. When that happens, we accept the incident as real, true, and without any controversy. Why? Because the Bible tells us it takes that form. Belief is vital in the Kingdom, not controversy. Spirit-filled Christians should be able to speak in tongues.
Part II
The Words that Cleanse and Do the Healing through Deliverance
God could be speaking to you through these messages. Christians need to use the tongue most purposefully and more relevantly, and this should begin with assimilating and meditating on the Word of God. You need to meditate on each of the messages in this book in order to experience cleansing and healing. Absorb the Word of God and see the miracle of His power going through all your veins and through all your problems. Only believe and you will receive. This is the Word of God. The Word of God heals, the Word cleanses, and the Word anoints.
Chapter 2
The World’s Greatest Magnet
Jesus Christ is the greatest magnet that has ever existed. His magnetism draws men up to Him by His death on the cross. John 12:32 explains that, And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
Jesus still draws people to Himself today through His promise. Thousands still give themselves up to Him through crusades, evangelism, Christian seminars, and person—to-person evangelism.
A Problem in the Drawing
Many are held back by the things of this world. Most Christians, even when they are pulled aside to serve the Lord, tend to fall back into three kinds of sins: 1) sins of commission, 2) sins of omission, and/or 3) sins of disposition.
1. Sins of Commission
Ten Commandments
(Seven of the ten begin with the words Thou shalt not.
)
1. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images.
2. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
3. Thou shalt not kill. (You can kill with your tongue.)
4. Thou shalt not commit adultery. (This involves any fleshly thoughts.)
5. Thou shall not steal. (You can steal people’s happiness.)
6. Thou shalt not bear false witness against any neighbor.
7. Thou shalt not covet. (David committed this sin by coveting Uriah’s wife.)
2. The Sins of Omission
To him who knows how to do well
and does not do it, it is sin.
1. Neglect of church attendance (fellowship) is sin.
2. Neglect of prayer (especially for others) is sin.
3. Neglect of God’s Word is sin.
4. Failure to pay God’s tithes is sin.
5. Failure to help others is sin.
6. Failure to use our talents is sin.
3. The Sin of Disposition
Wrong feeling toward others falls under this category.
Many forget to pray for others, love others, and show Christian spirit toward others, especially toward fellow Christians. Saul demonstrated this kind of hatred toward David. He forgot that many loved
