    Often, we are scared into submission- frozen with fear- and we let too much time go by without raising our prices.  We are scared of opposition- that our clients will resist us, or that they will even leave us.  We are scared of what the other barbers in our shop will say, that they will be offended by our audacity.  But we must remember that prices go up all of the time! 

    Cars, gas, milk, eggs, vegetables, rents… the prices for these things are always fluctuating, but, invariably, they go up and up and up.  Grooming services should too!  The costs of clippers, laundry soap, booth rent, and razors are constantly on the rise.  The cost of our services should rise proportionately to keep up with these costs so that we do not have to cut more hair in order to keep up with the cost of living.
