Dedication
This book is dedicated to my cousin Ella who I made a character for in this book. Also to my friend Ally who has read and edited both my books so far. Thank you Ally for all your help in making my dream come true.
Chapter One
My first sense of the world I had when I woke up was what I smelled. It smelt like roses. The next sense that I got was what I was feeling. I could feel light blankets over me. What I was laying on was like a hard mattress and fluffy pillows under my head. Wherever I was it was cold. After what felt like forever I finally started getting some feeling in to my body and feeling how I felt. I was sore. It was a slight struggle to breathe. A few minutes later I could start slowly opening my eyes. The walls were a baby blue. The paint was extremely faded. The little bit of the floors I saw informed me that the floors were white square tiles.
I could see some sunlight streaming in from a window behind me. I started getting the strength to move slightly. I struggled but finally succeeded to lift myself so I could get a better look at my surroundings. It was then I realized I was hooked up to several machines that were stationed around me. I was in a hospital it seemed. It was then I noticed the sleeping forms in my room.
My mom and dad lay on a couch to my left over by the windows. My brother was in a chair with his head on my hospital bed. Sandy was in a chair asleep curled up in a ball on the chair to the right of my hospital bed. There was no other hospital bed in the room.
The door to the room opened and a nurse came in. One look at me and she took off out the room running down the hall shouting for a Doctor Ray. When she came back a few minutes later I had succeeded in sitting myself up a little in the bed and I was still pondering why she had run out like that.
She came in with who I assumed was Doctor Ray in tow. He looked at me wide eyed and then came over and started writing things down on a clipboard from the monitors and then just things about me.
Morning Jenna.
Doctor Ray said.
Is it morning?
I replied.
It is. You gave us quite a scare.
What happened?
You don’t remember?
I looked at Doctor Ray which I could now see his name tag which
