About this ebook

Movies, pictures, stories...... Lives. All touch on idea of time. Some go in deeper detail then usual, but most can't ignore it at all. Lewis Carol made fun
of those wonderful writers that afraid of time, afraid to hold it on the spot. Time....... for some it runs faster then others, for some it just in their head..... For me it's a play ground........ sometimes I want it to rewind and other times I push it forward..... just to get to the mirage that is waiting on the other side of the dune.

Yuliya Skripchenko

I was born in Novosibirsk, in a family of biologist and physics and zoologist, poetry was considered to be a necessity to be well educated but not a means to earn money. Same could have been said for any average Russian. I moved to U.S when I was 12, expecting to become an Indian dancer (dream I still haven’t quite thrown out of the system). I got my degree from University of Maryland College Park in Mathematics and Russian Literature and soon after decided to get a degree in Secondary education from George Washington University. Writing to me is communication with unknown reader, my grandmothers used to say if you upset about something write it on the piece of paper and throw it in a toilet, I never had enough heart to throw my work in toilet. So after years of collecting my poetry in blogs and other means of preservation I deiced to publish it. Realization on Monday, August 11, 2008 The main things which seem to me important on their own account, and not merely as means to other things, are knowledge, art, instinctive happiness, and relations of friendship or affection. - Bertrand Russell

    Preface

I started this project as a way to deal with emotions and understanding what love is all about, I wasn’t expecting to find easy answers as I expressed myself. What I wanted to understand is how media fits into my perception, separate it from my notion and then combine it back into one concept-Love. Realizing that this word has killed nations, I didn’t want to define it, just explore it. Similarly my poems stepped over just a simple notion of love and connected it to the world, it was daunting to write something, after growing up on writers like Nabokov, Pushkin, Dostoevski, Edgar Poe . . . and many other geniuses of their time. However, I realized that what each of them on some level rebelled against existing language, existing norm of literature. In my index you will not find all words, just a few selected that are dearest to my heart. Though I don’t want to dictate what my reader interprets my work to be I hope it will give them a glance in my head. I apologize in advance to my education colleagues, for not making my book standard. I hope however that if someone who is reading the book will look in context of the word used rather than definition in a dictionary; after all it’s a bit warmer when you know someone thinks similarly to you. I hope for my other readers that you enjoy and connect to my
