He was transformed from keepers of sheep to keeper of people; from conqueror of Lion to conqueror of Goliath to mentor of soldiers, captains and generals

Finally he became hero of faith that obtained good report and example of the kingdom that we are embraced and striving to live in.

In the brief introduction to this great write-up The Words of David we shall be outlining all the seven verses that contain the proclamation of king David on his life and ministry which would have been suitable for parenthesis.

When I came across this particular passage, it seems as if I have never read that portion of the bible before. All I know is that God has specific things he wants to pass across to us at His own time. That is while he allowed it to catch my attention. Fot the Holy Spirit could explain the details to us.

In order for us to eat and digest this ration well we need to answer the following questions together.

    THE LAST WORD OF DAVID

    1. Who made this proclamation?

    2. Why this proclamation?

    3. When was it made?

    4. To whom was it made?

    5. Where was it made?

    6. What are we the benefits?

    7. Does it have anything to do with me?

    8. What will be my last words?

Do not crack you brain on this questions, by the time you will finish this book all the answer would be at your finger tip and by prayer would have sank into our brain and be at the centre of our heart.

    THE SEVEN VERSES BELOW:

    1. Now the last word David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised upon high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,

    2. The Spirit of the Lord spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.

    3. The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.

    4. And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.

    5. Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.

    6. But the sons of Belial shall be all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands.

    7. But the man that shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the same place.

Let us continue as the Holy Spirit interprets his word into our hearts in Jesus name. Amen.

    CHAPTER 1

    THE MAN DAVID

The king of Israel after Saul has the following to say concerning himself. He actually introduced himself thus David the son of Jesse the man who was raised upon high, the anointed the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel.

    David the son of Jesse

Let us go back to the house of David, I mean his father’s house. Where he was born.

David is from the house of Jesse that is Jesse is the father of David.

Parenthetically, Jesse the father of David was a Bethlehemite grand son of Ruth and Boaz and so was in the line of the covenant with Abraham.
