()
About this ebook
One poem Naturally was adapted from memory of a poem I read maybe 15 years ago by an author whose name I do not know. My poem is written and created by me but her poem about this theme did inspire me.
Edmundo Estevan Apodaca
I am of Hispanic (Mexican American) and German decent. Born in Las Cruces, NM in 1951. I was educated in public school in southern NM, I spent one year in Catholic school in the 6th grade. I was active in sports while in school. I spent many years there afterwards experiencing many trials and tribulations and suffering much from my dependence on alcohol and other drugs. 23 years ago I turned my life around and went back to college. I received my Bachelor’s and my Master’s degree in Social Work. I love writing and reading the written word.

DEDICATION
I want to dedicate this book to my Mother and Father for giving me the opportunity to become educated enough to write and to allow me to experience life through my own trials and errors.

BOOK SYNOPSIS
My book is a compilation of my poetry I have written over a 25 year period. I included a short story because it started out as a poem and ended up as the beginning of the story. I have been inspired by the many events in my life,

A WOMAN, A MOTHER,
A WIFE
In your own wonderful way
I always see a smile.
I hope you see it too.
In your own gentle way
I am grateful for this while…
I hope you feel it too.
In your own beautiful way
I am grateful for your being.
I hope you know it too.
Your softness, your gentleness, your compassion
set my mood in motion.
And for this I owe you my devotion.
It was bad enough all I do is think of you.
Knowing I could never give you anything.
Never be with you. Love can be hard.
So I picked the flowers while thinking of you.
I find a joy in thinking of your wonderful smile
and warm sense of humor.
And I dream of being with you someday
To you with all my love…
A POEM BY
THE SAME NAME:
Wishing well a tug at my heart
Last you came to my house
We were happy together
Now there is silence where you once were
You cannot glue a broken heart back together
You rushed off
How could I have foreseen I wouldn’t see or hear from
