About this ebook
One bad choice as a young teen brought her twenty years of physical abuse, facing the near death of her only daughter, and watching her sons grow up with an abusive father. She found a friend named Jesus, and he restored her life. God used every awful detail of those twenty years to teach her about real love and forgiveness and how to become an overcomer.

Preface
You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book. (Psalm 56:8)
T hese words came alive in my heart when I was a very young girl. They gave me hope during times when I felt abandoned and alone. At times, I would hear and obey God, and He would rescue me. Then there were those other times when I would try to go it alone. It is my hope that my story will encourage you during your trials in life and inspire you to always look for God in all your circumstances and seek His wisdom and direction. His word promises that He does keep track of all our sorrows and He really does have all your tears in His bottle. What an awesome God!
Dedicated to my precious children, Don, Christy, and Paul, and to my dear husband, Joe, who inspired me to tell my story. I love all of you.

Dad worked hard all day in his dental lab, and Mother helped him. On the weekends, Dad would stay drunk, and Mom would scream, throw fits, and cry. I stayed in my room as a young child and stayed gone as a teenager. I never had friends because I could never bring
