      OPENING INTERLUDE

      Over a decade ago, I began my journey of spilling my heart out on paper as I tried to successfully navigate through typical relationship woes while also experiencing a significant life changing event… falling into an "unconventional’ love. What initially started as my way of putting my scattered thoughts on paper eventually evolved into what you read today.

      Discombobulated Thoughts is a collection of my most intimate, private thoughts surrounding my fears of acknowledging and dealing with new and different experiences with love and heartache while also trying to fully come to terms with what I was feeling.

      Putting my thoughts on paper, as scattered as they were, was the only way I could sort out the truth from the noise. I could hardly eat or sleep most nights as I secretly imagined that it would be insane to answer up to the feelings that were growing inside me for a "her". I had never traveled this road before and it was the bumpiest, most difficult road ever. In this life, love and relationships are hard enough to successfully navigate without the additional ‘scrutiny’ and over time, it almost crushed me. My poetry takes you on a heartfelt journey through it all.

      I would like to personally THANK YOU for purchasing my book and sharing in my experiences both good and bad. I am grateful to be able to share my journey with you and I want to dedicate this book to all the dreamers and writers, those who love hard, and those who stand apart from the rest. If there is one thought or poem from this book that touches you in any way, shape or form, then I am forever grateful for the opportunity to have shared my craft with you.
