The Vampire Path to God! My Desperate Plan to Contact God
()
About this ebook
It takes something drastic to break on through to the other side, but how on earth did I end up using “vampires” to talk to God? You definitely can’t get any more drastic and desperate than that. My idea for getting the dope on God was in fact inspired by an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, hence why this is about the vampire route to God.
My plan was simple. To extract God from the Bible by scanning it into my computer, and then get God to answer my questions. What could possibly go wrong with that?

Changing My Life
This world is older than any of you know. Contrary to popular mythology, it did not begin as a paradise. For untold eons demons walked the Earth. They made it their home, their... their Hell. But in time they lost their purchase on this reality. The way was made for mortal animals, for man. All that remains of the old ones are vestiges, certain magicks, certain creatures. ... The books tell the last demon to leave this reality fed off a human, mixed their blood. He was a human form possessed, infected by the demon’s soul. He bit another, and another, and so they walk the Earth, feeding... Killing some, mixing their blood with others to make more of their kind. Waiting for the animals to die out, and the old ones to return.
– Giles the Watcher (in Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Don’t you get exasperated, furious even, about why God
is so confusing? Why are there so many different religions and spiritual systems, all saying completely different things? How are we supposed to discover the truth of God? Doesn’t it drive you crazy? Doesn’t it make you desperate to get to the bottom of it all? There must be a way to find the right answer. It surely wasn’t supposed to be this difficult. Something’s getting in the way, blocking our path to God. It’s as if there’s some kind of forcefield standing between God and us. Maybe we could call it the Devil Field, or the field of fake news and false information.
It takes something drastic to break on through to the other side, but how on earth did I end up using vampires
to talk to God? You definitely can’t get any more drastic and desperate than that. My idea for getting the dope on God was in fact inspired by an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, hence why this is the vampire route to God.
How I Talked to the Divine
Let me call it God confusion
. It’s when you hear loads of people saying loads of different things about God and you have no idea who’s telling it like it is. Whom should you believe? Should you believe the Christians, the Jews, the Muslims, the Sikhs, the Hindus, the Buddhists, the Taoists, some charismatic spiritual guru … in whom should we place our trust? What happens if you believe in the wrong God, or believe in God in the wrong way, or do the wrong thing without knowing it’s the wrong thing? As we all know, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Don’t you just get really sick of it all? Doesn’t it do your head in? This can’t be how it all works.
I was venting to an acquaintance about all of this and he said he had the perfect answer for my problem. He said I had to read Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch. So, I went ahead and read it. At the end I had only one thought – the author definitely wasn’t having conversations with God! Oh dear! It was exactly like everything else … just adding more confusion about the nature of God. I wasn’t sure if I found this funny or depressing. Walsch’s book was just another unconvincing take on God. I knew that Walsch was really talking to himself and then pretending it was God (whether or not he was consciously aware of that fact). That’s what plenty of people do. They don’t think of what God is but what they want God to be, which is an entirely different thing.
But I did take one valuable lesson from Walsch. The fact that he believed he was having an authentic encounter with God showed that our unconscious mind has incredible powers, and, if you communicate with it well enough, it might actually seem like you’re conversing with God, and it might give you far better insights than your own consciousness does. For Walsch, writing his books changed his life. His personal encounter with God, or rather with the power of his unconscious, was transformational for him, and indeed for many others – all those that found his book persuasive.
As for me, I wasn’t convinced at all by Walsch’s book. As far as I was concerned, this was a man organizing his own unconscious thoughts about God to
