          Part one Journey Time

          Chapter One At the Harbour

            'Look, there's our ship.'

    'It's very different Trouble'

'It is Toil what do you think Tricky.'

'It's kinda of posh and floats, the one we've met with our great grandmas is beyond yonder hills.'

'That's Sky Dancer, our spaceship that materialises on a full moon in the summer months when our great grandmas Hubble and Bubble do their thing, this one is Skye Dancer.'

'You can't dance a boat on land Tricky.'

'No Trouble, you can't and this is bobbing up and down quite freely on a mooring, could also be out at anchor from this distance, it has huge name letters on its hull for us to see.'

'Shall we check it out, Trouble.'

'Too far Toil, time to seek out Hubble and Bubble and so they can find a grandpa to row us out.'

They go around to their great grandmas in the village.

'Hi there, we're seeing our ship out anchor.'

'Its got an E on the end gran, like the spelling of this island, but dancer is after that so the dancers of the island could have arrived for the summer solstice.'

'Aye, young lassies, perhaps in spirit form so only you and I can see them though, we have to see the captain of this boat out to check out where he's come from, hi Bubble the girls have some exciting news the special ship has come in under a guise of a boat out of the fourth dimensional universe into this third dimensional one.'

'As prophesied by our elders over a hundred years ago, this Isle became Skye for a specific reason, so is it Dancer or Walker, not be confused with our Johnny of course.'

'Aye, it is time for a dram though, no its Dancer as the boat is apparently spelling out, Bubble.'

'So the seance got it right, no doubt some other ships may turn up tonight, the night of the summer solstice.'

'This is all an important island in the Universe as portrayed in the movies Bubble.'

'They are jolly movies Tricky but as our ancestors discovered this island is a way into this multi dimensional planet which we inhabit and is part our entire Universe which we all spin and we're sharing the Universe out with all the other dimensional aspects of it and persons thereof if they exist.'

'We exist in other dimensions as well Hubble'

'Some of us do Tricky, all depends on your open mind and acceptance of our existences.'

'We come and go as the seasons do girls in other dimensions, our visits tend to be longer as opposed to the recurring seasons nature has which is another dimensional aspect of this planet as we have four seasons, so as nature flourishes we all do too alongside and the pinnacle is the summer solstice where everything is combined and unified under one celebratory hat.'

’The dimensions all meet up together behind the brow of hill on the island so the Skye Dancer ship this could be the instigation of all of this beginning this year and the to set sail to new lands as a ship dancing off in the sky where there's endless oceans of space, Bubble, with endless dimensions.'

'You're younger minds expand to realise more as they travel around and learn eventually getting to provide and even greater and wider universe for all as knowledge spreads and often one finds a dimension which suits you so you stay for at last you start to feel content.'

'As in love and romance Hubble.'

'Those are all important notions Tricky, especially for you girls and of course so when that happens it signifies you're going to get attached so stay put, so the vessel at anchor which I'm now seeing through the spy glass must be special, something to celebrate with such a name.'

'Do you think it'll transform and fly.'

'A ship to fly the skies rather than ply the oceans, could well be if it’s from a dimension ahead of ours where they may no more seas as all the waters have been used up by one all.'

'So everything happens for a reason Bubble, so in one dimension ice is stored and in another it melts so it can be utilised by a drier dimension.'

’If one excepts that everything happens for a reason that's very plausible, though disastrous for the dimension it happens in but as there are multiples there's alternatives to the disastrous ones.'

Now its time to collect herbs, seaweed, frogs and sea snails children for our delicious concoction of magic which us two oldies esteem to, so on your way and we'll keep an eye on the Skye Dancer, named as such as it most likely does take upon itself to be a space ship of sorts in various alternative dimensions racing around the universe as indeed our own milky way does, everything is in a state of flux though seemingly normal to us as its what we know and see all the time.'

'The ship could already have come from another dimensions is only visible to us and our friends.'

'Well, its here now, Toil child, so its previous whereabouts is currently unknown but we'll find out more as and when the persons come ashore so on with your sisters and we'll get the cauldron warmed up with water ready to simmer, come on Hubble time to do our thing.'

The girls leave with baskets and the two old ladies go about their business preparing the fire for the cauldron, meanwhile on board the Skye Dancer. Jackoo Brewster, captain of Skye Dancer who is sailing single handed begins to release the lines which have been securing the inflatable tender off the davits which are on the stern of the boat. His thoughts are of a bar ashore he's seeing where hopefully he'd find a selection of fine malts. He sees a small fishing boat setting off from the quay in his direction. Some enterprising locals in search of a few pounds for a ride shore, much preferable than the pulling of the dinghy up on the beach out of harms way of a rising tide. He watches the oncoming boat, this is looking good he thought for maybe he'll help lay a kedge out, the second anchor, for this would provide security against the boat dragging, both anchors had swivels on the attached chains for the turning tide, laying a kedge out from a rubber dinghy by oneself was practically impossible to do. The local guy came alongside and was most obliging, he was of his age of around sixty. He explained there were secure mooring for visitors at a low rental so the anchor was raised and the guy with his boat moved the Skye Dancer boat along enabling Jackoo to pick up a pennant and strop with ease whilst remaining at the bow. Jackoo re-iterated to him that that dropping the anchor was always the easy option, no boat hook then heaving a strop onboard, the guy nodded and was with few words apart from hi, I'm Jimmy, yep, it's a good idea, and it only take a jiffy to move you onwards'. When going ashore Jimmy started up a conversation and Jackoo listened even though distracted by the newness of the place to him.'

'My granddaughters have taken as shine to this boat of yours so I came to get you rather than the rascals trying to get across in a dinghy and rascals they are, similar to my mother, their great grandma and her sisters.'

'I expect you can keep an eye on them easily in this village.'

'Oh yes, little happens, tourists arrive on yonder bridge not so many by boat nowadays, a little chilly in these parts for that and these new marinas are so readily equipped providing more home comforts and access to the towns so day sailing is the thing, a quick spin out for several hours suffices most.'

    'The bar here is good?'

'I'm biased on our pub as I spend most nights in there, there's whisky on draught that slips down as smooth as velvet so one my sons will take you back unless my granddaughters hi jack you as its summer solstice.'

    'Thanks, easy to get blathered.'

‘Totally with the draught, hits you with a bang, many fall from stools and others fall flat on their backs, there's rooms at the pub but on account of the time of year they're all full and its fine night for the celebrations.'

'You make a big thing of the solstice.'

'The women folk do, we men stay clear, my mother and her sister get up to tricks which are passed down over hundred of years, they're now passing the tricks onto the bairns.'

    'Tricks?'

'Aye, strange going ons, they disappear for days but always return, us menfolk congregate in the pub and bars getting hammered, ask questions and the retort is somewhat gibberish related to us in broad Gaelic with few of us menfolk understand.'

    'Perhaps it's not Gaelic.'

'Could be so, the old dialects are confusing enough, here we go onto this mooring where my dinghy is attached, from here it's a mere stones throw to the beach and there's a line to attached to the dinghies to pull it shore and back again so pulling up on the beach.'

    'Good idea.'

'Yep, one that worked for centuries, the harbour wall is only good for the bigger boats with large fenders, smaller boats bounce around like corks and get damaged. There's the bairns on seashore, they'll be out for crabs, sea snails and seaweed as instructed by the old ladies who will be preparing one of their concoctions passed through generations of the womenfolk.'

    'Witchcraft of old.'

'It most likely is, nowadays its tolerated of course but mostly scorned upon by us men folk but still seems to work out with little harm, the old ladies have very original herb gardens, naught you find in the shop for sure.'

'They're featured prominently in the Scottish play.'

'Aye that was a dark one from the master-craftsman of plays, their nick names are Hubble and Bubble from it and the bairns who are entranced with the old ladies and likewise back are Trouble, Tricky and Toil, christened as Mary, Margaret and Magda though.'

    'Middle names?'

'Oh yes, Tina, Annie and Doris, makes us a little less confusing for one and all.'

'Here we go, pick her pennant up and pull the line and you can now jump into the dinghy.'

'It is very much so, they're wading in the water.'

'Aye those three don't feel the cold at all, real outdoor hardened Scots girls, the dogs whine to come indoors from the cold before they decide to come out of the shallows.'

The two men go ashore and are greeted by the three girls.

    'You've a smart boat mister.'

'It is very much so ..........?

’Tina, this is Annie and Doris, we've first names but they're confusing.'

'I know they all begin with M, and you've nicknames.'

'Reserved for grandmas and great grandmas, you'll get to know them, we're gathering up edibles from the shoreline and rock pools for the pot which is in preparation for tonights summer solstice.'

‘I think it's the pub for us Bairns, time for a dram or two, you'd like some hot chocolate after your shoreline excursion.'

'Oh yes please, but first we take what we've found to Hubble and Bubble, grandpa, so in around half an hour we’ll come to the pub as we know you'll still be in there.'

    'We will lass, onwards Jackoo.'

'A good name, second one isn't Walker by any chance,'

‘No its not, its Brewster, my middle name is Johnny though, so JJ works for me.'

‘I like Jackoo, see you later.’

    The children leave

      ‘They like names.'

'So I've noticed, so do the Malt Whiskies.'

‘Aye, they're numerous, we've our own and we must drink a bottle of our finest on your boat to celebrate your arrival here at some point.'

'You think I'll be staying a while, then.’

'The weather is good for a month so we're told and the bairns will want to show you the Isles around here.'

    ‘With their
