      A pirateʼs first whiff of the sea

      Is what it feels like putting this pen on paper The thrill of explorers discovering an unknown land

      Is how I feel with this wand in my hand; Magic only fellow wizards can understand.

      The desire to mend broken hearts and stir feelings in others Drives me to pour mine out

      Revealing past regrets and buried secrets from an inner vault I normally try to keep shut

      In this life, we all have to play our parts, And as a doctor of love, mine is this

      I would like to thank my mother, Mrs. Cate Nimanya, for giving me this idea to put my work into one project and setting me up with the right people and  resources  to  get  this  book  out there. I would also like to thank my dad, Mr. Garry Darius Nimanya for always giving me a wake-up call when I got lazy by always asking for updates on how far I had gone with the  writing. I also greatly appreciate the services of the Open Mic Uganda team that provided constructive criticism and everything in between from publishing to marketing of this book. I also cannot stress the impact of God for granting me the wisdom  and patience to finish this project not to mension  the experiences he has put me through, both good and bad, that have inspired me in many of my pieces.

      And finally, Heart to Heart is an addictive drug and I warn my ‘patients’ to take it in small doses or risk the overwhelming emotions that follow from its overdose. But other than that, please, enjoy the show!!!
