Daughter of the King: Nine Liberating Truths for God's Girls
()
About this ebook
Daughter of the King is a nine-week Bible study that is ideally for group settings but can be used for individual use as well. I chose Daughter of the King as the title because I love that true Biblical identity given to me and to all Christian women. How incredible to know, despite my imperfections, the God of the universe calls me daughter! I believe as we focus on the truth of scripture, realize and embrace "who" and more importantly "Whose" we are, we can live with peace, joy, strength, and a Christ confidence. Then, we can better live and serve as our King intended.

First and foremost, I would like to dedicate this book in honor and to the glory of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I believe he guided me to write the contents of this book for not only my own personal growth in Him, but to then share with others with that same aim.
Also, I would like to dedicate this Bible study in memory of my incredibly strong and loving daughter, Brittany. How we miss you at our ladies' Bible studies. Now all those tough questions you used to ask at our meetings are being answered by the One who knows all things! Until heaven's embrace, know how much I love and miss you. Love, Mama.
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life. I am the bread of life.
—John 6:47–48 (NKJV)
For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands.
—2 Corinthians 5:1 (NLT)
Finally, I would like to dedicate my first written Bible study in honor of my two best girlfriends and granddaughters, Emma and Cressida. They are precious gifts from the Lord!
My prayer is that they will one day know for themselves that in Christ they are daughters of the King!
Introduction
According to Historic UK, there have been sixty-six monarchs of England and Britain spread over a period of 1,500 years. Some of the following names of king's daughters you may recognize are Mary I (Bloody Mary,
1553–1558), Elizabeth (1558–1603), Anne (1702–1714), and the current Elizabeth II (1952–present).
Many people follow the royal happenings, watching or reading everything that comes out about them with great excitement! Some, no doubt, wonder what life must be like to live with the riches and power of royalty. Yes, to hold the title of and be recognized as a daughter of a king is quite an honorable and lofty position!
How much more exhilarating to be known, in fact chosen (John 15:16 NKJV), to be a daughter of the King, who is King over all the earth (Zechariah 14:9)? Well, ladies, as believers in Jesus Christ, that is exactly who we are! If you were one of those little girls who dreamed of someday becoming a princess (like we often heard about in story books), that dream became a reality the moment you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior (John 1:12)! God is so good!
Furthermore, Scripture assures us that as God's daughters (His children), we have been given everything we need for an abundant life (John 10:l0b) and fully equipped to live it in power and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). What wonderful news indeed, yet many of us live like paupers (spiritually), rather than those who hold a royal position in the King's heart and in His kingdom. Depression, discouragement, anger and bitterness, insecurities, sin habits that seem impossible to break, and disillusionment with the Christian faith are present in many of the lives of our sisters in Christ. They may very well be in your and my life today, though things appear all good
on the outside. As we look at all the precious promises in God's Word and then look at our lives, there seems to be a disconnect. Where is the peace and joy? Where is the courage and confidence?
Where is the faith and consistency in my walk? The list goes on, with struggles varying from woman to woman.
Hold fast, ladies, because this nine-week Bible study's goal
