Running a Pub Quiz
Finding a Location
While a bar is considered the typical place to arrange a quiz night, that isn’t the only options. Restaurants, microbreweries, wine bars, any many other places can be great options. When contacting one of these venues it is best to give an outline of what a pub quiz is and how it will be run, the best times to ask for a day of the week when the venue might otherwise experience low customers.
Running the Game
Your Questions: You have three options for displaying the questions: on a tablet or phone, printed out on paper, or displayed on a screen. Always keep two copies of the questions on hand; one with the solutions (to use when marking the answer sheets) and one without (to use while calling out questions). With this tactic, you can reveal the precise phrasing and spelling of questions to players while hiding the solutions.
Print more answer sheets than you believe you'll need (it is embarrassing to run out).
