Christmas Short Stories for Kids Ages 6 - 10 Gift Ideas - Evelyn Hartwell
Introduction
Hi, my friend! You know, something incredible happened a while ago, something I want to share with you. I know you love Christmas very much, because I love it too. Do you remember that special feeling you get in your heart when December approaches? Well, let me tell you my story.
A few years ago, when I was a little bit younger than I am now, I experienced a Christmas I will never forget. It all started on a cold and starry night, right on Christmas Eve. I was in my bed, trying to fall asleep, but the excitement wouldn't let me sleep. I knew Santa Claus was on his way, and I was so excited.
Suddenly, I heard a soft noise coming from the living room. I got up very carefully, trying not to make any noise, and peeked through the door. Oh, surprise! I saw a group of little elves, dressed in colorful costumes and pointy hats, doing something magical around the Christmas tree.
I was astonished, not knowing what to do. One of the elves, who had an infectious laugh, looked at me and signaled me to come closer. I approached timidly, but still smiling. The elves invited me to join their little Christmas party.
We danced to happy songs, and the elves taught me how to make balloon figures. Then we sat around a small fire inside a toy fireplace. They told stories about the magic of Christmas and how they worked hard in Santa's workshop to make presents for all the children in the world.
After a while, one of the elves asked me what my Christmas wish was. Without much thought, I told him that I wished for all the children in the world to be happy at Christmas and for no one to be lonely or sad. The elves smiled and nodded approvingly, recognizing the importance of my wish.
Finally, the night came to an end, and the elves escorted me back to my room. Before I left, one of them gave me a small gift and told me it was a thank you for sharing my wish. When I opened the gift, I found a small golden bell that glowed with a special light.
That Christmas, when I heard the tinkling of the bell, I knew that the magic of Christmas was everywhere, in people's hearts and in the dreams we share. Since then, every time December arrives, I remember that magical night and I know that Christmas is a special time to share love, joy and friendship.
So, dear friend, get ready to immerse yourself in the stories I am going to tell you in this book. They are tales full of magic, adventures and special moments that will make you smile and feel the spirit of Christmas in your heart. Let's start this wonderful adventure together!
The Magic of Christmas
The arrival of Christmas
A long time ago, in a small village surrounded by snow-capped mountains, there lived a little boy named Johnny. Johnny was a curious and joyful child, but in December, his heart was filled with a special emotion. It was the time of year he looked forward to the most: Christmas.
From the time he was very young, Juanito had learned that Christmas was not just about presents and shiny decorations, but about something much more important: love, friendship and generosity. His grandmother, Doña Rosa, would tell him stories about the magic of Christmas and how the Christmas spirit filled people's hearts.
One day, as Juanito was walking through town, he noticed that something different was happening. The streets were adorned with twinkling lights, and the main square was filled with laughter and song. It was the day the town was preparing to welcome Christmas.
That afternoon, Johnny decided to visit the store of his friend Luke, the owner of the toy store. Lucas was busy putting toys and Christmas decorations on the shelves. When Johnny walked in, a bell over the door jingled merrily, and Luke greeted him with a big smile.
-Juanito, how nice to see you! -I'm getting the store ready for Christmas. How can I help you today?
Juanito looked at the toys in amazement and answered Lucas.
-I'm excited about Christmas and I wanted to find the perfect gift for my grandma. I want to give her something special, something to show how much I love her," he said tenderly.
Lucas thought for a moment and then showed her a beautiful porcelain tea set with hand-painted flowers.
-This tea set is very special, Juanito. Your grandma will surely appreciate it very much. Besides, every time you have tea together, you will remember this special moment.
Juanito nodded excitedly and bought the tea set. He knew his abuelita would enjoy the fancy cups and it would be the perfect gift.
Christmas Eve day finally arrived, and the town was illuminated by thousands of twinkling lights. Houses were decorated with garlands and flickering candles in the windows. The spirit of Christmas filled the air, and people embraced each other, sharing smiles and good wishes.
At Juanito's house, Christmas Eve dinner was a delicious feast prepared by his grandmother Doña Rosa. The family gathered around the table, and Juanito waited anxiously for the moment to give her his gift. When the time came, he handed the tea set to his grandmother.
Doña Rosa's eyes filled with tears of emotion when she saw the beautiful tea set.
-Juanito, this is wonderful, she said in a trembling voice,
Thank you for this special gift. Now we can share even more special moments together.
The evening continued with laughter, stories and Christmas songs. Juanito realized that the real magic of Christmas was in the love and joy they shared with their loved ones. It was a priceless gift.
As the family retired to rest, Juanito looked out the window and saw the bright full moon in the starry sky. He knew that Christmas was not just about presents, but about being together and making those we love happy.
And so, as the snow fell gently outside, Johnny fell asleep with a smile on his face, grateful for the wonderful Christmas he had experienced and excited for the adventures that still awaited him in this magical season.
The magic Christmas tree
Once upon a time in a small town called Valle Nevado, there was a little boy named Martin. He was full of excitement, as the Christmas season was fast approaching and what he loved most about Christmas was decorating the tree as a family.
Every year, his family would choose the most beautiful Christmas tree and decorate it with twinkling lights, shiny colored balls and golden ribbons. But this year would be different, as Martin had a special wish: he wanted a magical Christmas tree.
Martin had heard stories about Christmas trees coming to life on the eve of the holidays, and it filled him with wonder. He dreamed of having a tree that could talk and tell him magical Christmas stories. So, determined to make his dream come true, Martin got up early one cold December morning and ventured into the nearby forest in search of the perfect tree.
He walked among the snow-covered trees, watching each one carefully. Finally, he came to a clearing where he saw a tree unlike any other. It was a tall, leafy pine, with twinkling lights on its branches and a bright star at the top.
Martin approached the tree and whispered to it:
-Magic tree, can you make my dream come true? I want you to be my tree this year and share with me the magic of Christmas.
To his surprise, the tree began to glow even brighter and a soft voice echoed in the air.
-Of course,
