he council chamber was bathed in a soft, golden light, the warm glow of the flickering torches casting dancing shadows across the faces of the Elders gathered within. Lyra stood at the threshold, her heart pounding in her chest as she surveyed the solemn assembly before her. Each Elder sat upon a carved stone throne, their weathered faces etched with the weight of centuries of wisdom and knowledge. At the center of the chamber, seated upon a raised dais, was Elder Thalion, the High Elder, his gaze piercing as he regarded her with a mixture of curiosity and expectation.
Lyra of the Whispering Glen,
intoned Elder Thalion, his voice resonating with authority, you have been summoned here today for a matter of utmost importance.
Lyra swallowed hard, her throat suddenly dry as she struggled to maintain her composure. She had spent countless hours practicing her craft, honing her skills as a bard and delving deep into the mysteries of the arcane. But never had she imagined that her talents would draw the attention of the Elders, the most revered and powerful beings in all of Lumindor.
I am ready to serve, honored Elders,
she replied, her voice steady despite the nervous fluttering in her stomach.
