1.Introduction to Cosmos
The universe is an unimaginably vast expanse that encompasses everything we know, from galaxies and stars to planets and cosmic phenomena. Stretching billions of light-years in all directions from our vantage point on Earth, the universe presents a scale that is difficult to comprehend. Its structure reveals a striking pattern of uniformity, where galaxies are distributed in clusters and superclusters, interconnected by vast cosmic filaments. At its largest scales, the universe appears homogeneous and isotropic, meaning it looks the same in all directions and at all locations. This cosmic expansion, discovered by Edwin Hubble in the 1920s, is governed by Hubble's law, which describes how galaxies are moving away from each other as the universe expands.
