About this ebook
To educate a person in mind, and not in morals, is to educate a menace to society.
--Thomas Jefferson
Character Building 911 is designed to make it easy for educators and parents to teach valuable moral lessons to children. The short stories presented in this book make it fun for the children and encourage them to talk about the issues they face in their daily lives.
There are three discussion questions at the end of each story. These questions will help the teacher and students get involved in dialogue that will help reinforce the values taught.

Introduction
I debated with myself for a long time about what title I would give this book. As I sat at my computer, I heard a fire engine pass by with loud sirens. I said to myself, What's the emergency?
When I looked back at the computer, I thought, Character building is an emergency! That's how this title came to be—Character Building 911.
Life is not always easy, and sometimes it does not seem to be fair. Life would be better for everyone if we all learned to get along and treat each other the way we want to be treated.
This book has stories that may remind you of something that happened to you or to someone
