Quantum Cell - Nader Khlifi
Preface
In recent years, the emerging field of quantum biology has captivated both scientists and the public. This interdisciplinary area explores how quantum mechanics may govern biological processes, from photosynthesis to animal navigation. While quantum mechanics is a complex and abstract domain, nature itself may offer the key to understanding its mysteries. Biologi-cal systems, finely tuned by adaptation, may provide insights not only into biology but also into quantum phenomena.
In fact I believe that understanding nature’s processes at the quantum level can help us solve fundamental questions in biology, as well as deepen our comprehension of quantum mechanics itself. As we continue to study organisms such as octopuses, whose remarkable ability to adapt and camouflage might involve quantum principles, we are uncovering new ways in which life on Earth navigates its environment in ways that seem almost impossible
from a classical physics perspective.
While the ideas presented in this book are speculative and require further research, they open exciting avenues for inquiry into the intersection of biology and quantum physics. By studying nature’s solutions to complex problems, we may one day solve not only biological mysteries but also tackle questions in quantum mechanics, potentially even offering solutions to
