Staff was extremely friendly the whole time. Pool was great. Free breakfast was nice and freshly prepared daily. Easy walk to town for dinner or lunch.
Definitely an aging property has one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to in Bali and any hotel here. The food is horrendous and takes forever. I had moldy Parmesan cheese frozen feta cheese on my salad two of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had in my life. The breakfast is really skimpy and not good. The rooms are filled with bugs and are very dated. I would not recommend this resort out of all the beautiful places to stay in Bali.
It is a well-kept property and the grounds are nice. The outdoor shower is amazing. I stayed here twice in two weeks just for that. The food is excellent too and cheap! The only issue is that I'd strengthen the Internet a bit. It's not the best. Otherwise, I highly recommend this property. I'll be going back for sure, and soon!

Great pool & dining room setting. Very friendly & attentive staff, room clean & tidy. Bungalows were a bit on the tired side, could do with a repaint & update. Disappointed there was no TV in the rooms, apart from that very lovely stay

Great value
Great value for money stay for a few nights in transit. Friendly staff and good transfer service. The property does need some maintenance, but still a comfy stay.
Our stay at Lotus Bungalow s was Excellent.
On our arrival we was met by friendly staff a short book in and a quick brief in regards to our stay.
We was then taken to our Bungalow which had a seafront view which was breathtaking and beautiful to see after a long trip. "You feel that you have finally arrived".
The maintenance and cleanliness of the grounds and bungalows was excellent.
Staff was always busy keeping the site to a good standard and very attentive.
Pool & area was kept immaculate.
Dining area was very impressive and food was to a good standard although the menu did not change & felt a bit limited by the end of a 8 night stay but plenty of good resturants nearby.
Great relaxing atmosphere, more suited to 18's and above looking a more authentic Bali and a slightly slower pace than other areas such as Kuta & Ubud.
Candidasa area provides beautiful sunsets, seafront views and a excellent insite in Balinese culture if you look.
And the Lotus Bungalows a great place to stay if want to venture to East Bali

Nice place
For the price it’s a really nice place to stay. The staff is very friendly and we had a clean and comfortable room. The pool area is beautiful and the large couches are a nice touch for a mid day snooze. I do love that the property was extremely peaceful and relaxing with the waves crashing right below. The grounds do also need some repair and upkeep. Restaurant is just ok. Besides those two items we liked the place and enjoyed our stay.
We arrived and were immediately taken by this stunning hotel! The rooms are beautiful and the bathroom blew our mind! The staff were very thorough with the check in and made sure we knew everything we needed to. You are right on the beach, not somewhere you could sunbathe though, but people were swimming there when the tide was lower. We had a great stay just wish it was longer!
Excellent value for money stay. Great for exploring the local area. There is a lot of staff, probably far too many and you sometimes feel a bit watched. We ordered food and there was 4 people gathered around awaiting our order. Sometimes less is more.
Accomodation is fantastic, pool is great and the Danish lady on reception is very friendly and offers tips on where to go. Well worth a visit!
Well..wanted to forget this horrible experience after having such a wonderful trip and loving the Balinese gracious hospitality in every single hotels/villas we've stayed but got an email feedback from the foreigner manager who needs to either refresh her skills on handling guests and managing a hotel or learn from her host country.. We asked, we informed,,we do not need two rooms as we have 2 young children who sleeps with us in the same room. No..we cannot just have an extra bed..she said we have to have 2 rooms. She said our two children are using the hotel resources therefore we need to pay for the extra room so even though we would sleep in one room and use one air con and probably be outside all day..but it doesn't matter. I looked through tripadvisor on my android phone while on the road and decided last minute to book a hotel. Tripadvisor doesn't have an option to enter accompanying children. My mistake for not checking again on expedia and reading fine details but we NEVER had any problems and paid extra for bed and breakfast when we check in. My husband got angry when the manager just walked off without any explanation.. Accusing us of trying to bring our kids in for free and then being chased out of the hotel by one of the hotel employee is a horrible experience for a family holiday. We don't plan to ask for a refund since making money is all it seems for this establishment, and according to the manager "guest that don't want to pay we don't want to have anyway"
I had a great stay at the Lotus Bungalows. The staff was so friendly, the food was delicious, and it was a perfect place to completely check out and relax. Highly recommend it.
There are 20 rooms and we had a room facing the sea, which was quite pleasant, with a traditional outdoor Balinese bathroom.
The food is very ordinary and it would seem that few of the guests actually eat there, other than the very simple breakfast. The dining room is not very attractive or welcoming. The lighting is appalling - a few bare bulbs hanging from the ceiling.
The hotel is managed by a European couple, who seem to be more interested in the attached diving business, than the hotel itself. It shows in the lack of attention to the detail of running a hotel, guest satisfaction and keeping up the maintenance where the infrastructure is showing signs of wear. The actual lobby of the hotel was closed for apparent upgrade, but no work was going on while we were there.
The pool is large and well positioned, but it needs to be cleaned of the growing deposits of algae growing in the tepid water.
Perhaps the customers who are divers find it more to their liking.

Excellent Pool and views
Expensive for what I would rate as 3 star accommodation. But what price do you put on the amazing endless pool and view?
A new dive pool is under construction which should please the divers who attend for courses etc.
Great stay
+ Awesome view, good breakfast, not far from nice sandy beach (15min in scooter)
- Bad wine, expensive tours, extra charges at the restaurant (taxes + fees)
We came across discount booking for the Lotus Bungalows and decided to stay here after reading the reviews. Having stayed at several budget hotels, we were really impressed by the beautiful accommodations, service and close-up views of the sea from the pool. We enjoyed a good buffet breakfast with nice range of selections. our bungalow was cleaned twice daily and with fresh flowers. The only problem was slow wifi in our room, which was one of the farthest from the main lobby. The location is pretty far from the main shops and restaurants in candidasa and the sidewalks are pretty terrible as of may 2014 (currently renovating). However we were able to walk as far as we wanted on the side of the street and scooter rental seems to be cheap if you have an international license. Would like to return someday.
Fin morgenmad. Fine huse. Vi var tilpasse.
