Was on our Honeymoon trip! Most of the experience was great, with the majority of the staff being professionally friendly, rooms were a bit old, but toilets seemed quite new and the view from the rooms of the sunset is definitely worth the stay! It IS a casino hotel though, so just consider that.
One thing that spoilt the otherwise excellent rating for us though is that after check out I went to pick up the car from the street below (parking at the hotel is 14euros, street parking is free), and during that time under the guise of helping my wife with her luggage, on the the older bellhops took the chance to “hold” my wife’s hand for a moment too long and gave her a smirk. Needless to say it was extremely discomforting for her and being quite shocked she didn’t know how to raise it up till we had left, but it for a hotel that calls itself “5-star” it was really such an appalling experience. Of all the places that a woman can get harassed at you would think a hotel and by a hotel staff would be the last.
It definitely spoilt a huge part of the experience of being in Piran and a huge huge disappointment. Left an incredibly sour taste in our mouths as we left Slovenia.
Nice size room with view of the sea from balcony. Food in restaurant not 5 star, and not refilled quickly enough. Coffee machines always breaking down. Would return but on room only basis.
Nearly perfect hotel ... very clean ... incredible breakfast .... lovely staff .... but we had to sleep with the patio door open (no screen) because of the stifling heat. Apparently, the air conditioning is not used until June.
The room was great with 2 balconies with an amazing ocean view .

To begin with this hotel has outdated rooms, not better than simple 3 stars hotel. Yes I know their pictures look nice, but remember about Photoshop. The hotel claims that SPA available for the guests....sure just use a sauna cost 35+ euro per person for 1.5 hours. Towels is another story: they are not going to give you any unless you go back to the main hotels desk (!) and leave 20 euro per towel deposit. Just awesome idea, right?! Don't expect to be notified about it during you check in process, as well as about any costs for sauna for the guests. About the food: dinner and breakfast can be included in your stay, but the quality for both are bad. At first it looks like they have a big choice, but you are lucky to find one or two fresh and not overcooked dishes. At the breakfast were served some leftovers from last night dinner. Slovenia in general is very good in food quality, so stay away from this restaurant and hotel.
Their housekeeper violated my privacy by ignoring my DoNotDisturb sign when I went to breakfast and then lying about it saying the sign wasn't there. Since I checked the sign when I left the room, I know it was. When I want housekeeping I shut down my electronics and clear the bed. I did not do this because I didn't want housekeeping. The hotel ignored my complaint, and did nothing whatsover to make up for her action. This lack of response from management, even after the reception staff acknowledged that they realized she had lied, makes this hotel a not safe place to go. Who knows what other unsavoury things might be going on with managements sanction.
