It's good for what it is: an affordable, well-located place to sleep and shower while visiting Stockholm. That said, it was initially a bit tricky to find, and I underestimated how much I in fact do need a window and TV in my room. If you are OK with that, then you should totally consider CityBox for your visit.
Really good basic hotel. No windows in the rooms and the lighting makes them quite dark but they’re cosy, functional and quiet - great for a family of four with teenagers on a city break. Ideal location just across the bridge from Gamla Stan and two minutes from the metro. There’s a lot of building work happening outside the hotel but as you’ve not got a window you can’t see or hear it anyway!
The No windows description of the property is no big deal. You are in a peaceful quiet place.. it was sooo perfect !! Everything is new and very scandic. Thanks to Emma who guided us about Aurora borealis..
The staff member that I met was incredibly helpful. I had a complication with the pricing of my booking and although that wasn’t sorted he went above and beyond to ensure I was looked after. Thank you brother, you know who you are
If you don’t mind not having a window, this might be the place. It’s on a few subterranean floors of an office block but it’s very central. The communal kitchen works well but I did have my milk stolen. Uni days all over again.
On major issue is that it’s got a major building project (new bus station) on its door step.
At checkin your room number is flashed on a screen so be sure to remember it. Otherwise you need to find it in email. There were no instructions in elevator where to touch your room card so elevator wouldn't operate and i had to find the stairs. There were no instructions in the room that you had to force the room card into a slot by light switch to turn lights on. So i had to carry my luggage back upstairs to find an employee to tell me how to work the elevator and the room lights. Then 7:30am I was awakened by construction above me.
