Staff was excellent and professional. Property was slightly dated, but not by much and still very comfortable. Everything was walkable - 2 MRT stations, night market, etc. It was close enough to get to Daan and Taipei 101, but far enough that it was very quiet at night. Would highly recommend.

We booked two different rooms, each for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. One was the Horizon Deluxe Twin Room. This room is nice, however the beds do not fit 4 people. Expedia should make a change. Apparently, the reservation came across to Shangri-la as 2 adults and 2 children both age 2. The other room was the Grand Deluxe Family Room. This was a really nice large room with one king and two full size beds. We loved this room. It was super spacious.

The entire hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable. The daily fruit platter in our room hit the spot every time. The breakfast buffet was great. The staff were very nice and friendly. The views from the rooftop pool were beautiful. We had a great time and can’t wait to go back.

Best hotel experience in Taipei. Rooms were comfortable and spacious and clean. Has deluxe family room which was sufficient for our family of 4, with kids getting their own beds. Robes were provided for each person, beds were so firm and comfortable, no jet lag issues here! Shower has great water pressure and turns hot quickly. Great amenities: rooftop pool with views of all taipei, gym amenities, sauna. Great service: concierge was amazing to help us book reservations for restaurants and massage. Loved turn down service and housekeeping provided fresh fruit and water everyday! Appreciated Bell Hop holding our bags until airport shuttle arrived. Location: convenient to MRT, restaurants, night market, Taiwanese breakfast locations, Doctor, and shopping mall next door. Will definitely be back!!

I've been to taipei over 5 x and this is by far the best experience I've had in taipei bc of the Shangri-La hotel. The service is exceptional- from the front desk staff to the housekeeping staff with turn down service, to the concierge helping us book reservations for Thanksgiving dinner, to the pool life guard who provides goggles and pool toys. Pros: 1) room size was very large for Taipei. We had a deluxe family room for our family of 4. Room size is 600 sq feet and beds were firm, comfortable. Best sleep we've had in Taiwan immediately upon arrival. No jet lag bc of the beds. We also had a view of taipei 101. They even provided robes in the room for all 4 of us. 2) concierge - we are not fluent Chinese speakers so we asked the concierge to help book us hair appointments, massage appointments and Thanksgiving dinner reservations. Henry the concierge was so helpful to help us book reservations for all you can eat sushi in Thanksgiving night! 3) pool and gym- rooftop pool is one of a kind. Beautiful view from rooftop. Lifeguard was so helpful with pool toys and goggles. Gym was clean and had sufficient equipment for all needs. My husband loved the sauna the most. 4) English speaking staff was very helpful 5) Bell Hops were so kind and helpful when we had to check out and held our bags until our airport shuttle arrived. Always helpful. 6) location. close enough to MRT station, 10-17 minutes walk, Convenient to restaurants and night market.
