We stayed here for 4 nights and upon arrival the air conditioning wasn’t working in our room. I asked about it right away and they told me the mechanic would come by to fix it. He never did. I inquired again the next day and they said he would come by the evening. He didn’t. I asked every day for the entire 4 days of our stay and we’re ensured he was coming to fix it and he never did. So needless to say our stay here was very uncomfortably hot. The building is also very noisy, I was kept up all night by people in the hallways and doors slamming. Not to the most enjoyable stay. The only positive thing about this hotel is the breakfast. It was quite nice with eggs, French toast, sausage, ham, coffee, juice, pastries.

Loved the grounds, the pool, the breakfast room and reception area. The room was a bit dated but some had been upgraded so maybe the owners will do them all in due course. We didn't get clean towels at all during the week which was disappointing.

Good location close to the town -we walk fast so only took 5 minutes. Clean room with friendly cleaner. Breakfast options were ham, cheese, boiled eggs, toast, spreads, cereal, yoghurt and honey which was perfect for us. Large pool with bar. Overall we thought this was really good value for money.

Hotel is in a great location and has excellent opportunities but they have decided not to use them. Hotel reception polite at all times. Maids were in every day to supply new towels and tidy beds. Books available in reception. Bar staff at the pool awful - had what looked like friends sat around at the pool bar who were sulky and glared at you for daring to interrupt (total put off). They sell soft drinks - cans (2 euros) and cocktails (7 euros) but no menu or mention they do food (to be fair, don't bother!). Badly toasted toasty with a plate of crisps (that they describe as chips) are seriously not worth it. Breakfast poor with some yoghurt and bread. Didn't even consider looking at evening meal. No music around the pool - just a general bad atmosphere. We spent pool time at the neighbouring hotel (Oasis) which was marvellous. So in summary, what could be a brilliant hotel - just wasn't.

A basic hotel where the air con is unfortunately not particularly effective, I had it set to 17 degrees overnight which cooled the room down only slightly. I had to ask at Reception for the remote for the air con! I wasn't told I should have breakfast by the pool until the last day, having been happily eating (the same) breakfast in the lobby. I had a couple of late mornings, leaving the hotel at 10am and rather embarrassingly, the cleaner was waiting for me to go, no pressure! It's a 15/20 minute walk into the town and is close to Oasis, a complex with a small pool and bar food. A taxi is about 5€ from town. For the same money, I think Asmina's House is better value and slightly closer to town. The Stellina is a little bit too far from town to be really convenient, but is a good value hotel with a pool and bar.

The staff, atmosphere and breakfast were absolutely wonderful. The only issue we had was an air conditioner that did not work. We could not sleep due to the heat. Other than that, Stellina is wonderful. An air conditioner is easily fixed.

We stayed at the Stellina for a couple of nights Aug 2017. The hotel had some lovely friendly staff, the pool was great, but the room we were given was cramped, dark, dingy and nothing like the photos usually shown for the hotel. We were only there for 2 nights before moving to another hotel (pre-planned, not due to the room state) but we'd have been unhappy if our whole 2 weeks had been in this room.

Beautifully presented and well placed hotel.
The hotel was extremely clean, the staff were very helpful and the pool was well maintained. It's a short walking distance into Skiathos town and you can walk to the airport if you have light luggage, which we did. We booked a room with a garden view, which was spacious and well kept. We'd use this hotel again.

Nice hotel
We had a lovely stay at the stellina, had the pool to ourselves most of our stay, rooms had everything you need, it is basic but that's Greece!! Hotel, room and pool area lovely and clean and staff very polite! It's about 5 mins walk to supermarket and 10 mins to edge of the town! The beaches are easy to get to by the bus. Overall we had a lovely holiday, we was worried about the bad reviews but we had nothing to worry about,overall we had an enjoyable stay!!

Good Value But Good Walk to Town
The hotel is good value and the staff were great. It is a bit of a hike from the Port so if you arrive by boat, take a taxi.

I have stayed at the Stellina a number of times, it is slipping downhill. The maintenance standards are slipping while the costs climb. We initially stayed in Room 120; a supposedly superior room with a poolside view. The room had electgrical sockets hanging out of the wall.

On arriving we were pointed to our room which was like an obstacle course with painters and ladders every where ... room ok ..... hotel was not ready for people .... pool full of algae no bar nowhere to get food. Breakfast what breakfast dry bread ham n cheese no toaster..... receptionist rude... had to go out and purchase drinks as nowhere to get anything around the hotel. 3 sun beds ....

A week on Skiathos
Arrived on Skiathos mid May a three hour flight from Gatwick . Checked into the Stellina hotel which is a very short distance from the airport so anyone who doesn't like aircraft noise might want to stay somewhere else ,however, there were only a few flights most days with Friday being the busiest. Spectacular views of aircraft landing or departing for anyone interested! On arrival at the hotel the staff were very pleasant which continued through out our stay .The room was kept immaculately clean with new towels more or less every day and the beds changed three times during the week . The town ,although quiet, which is to be expected at this time of year ,had many bars and restaurants to choose from and the food and staff were lovely wherever we went ,Marmitas a particular favourite.The beaches on Skiathos are wonderful and the sea crystal clear and from the town there are many opportunities to take a boat ride. Close to our hotel we found a small apartment complex called the oasis hotel , the owner was very welcoming and a fantastic character who was happy for us to use the facilities.The food there was such good quality and so reasonably priced .A lot of his guests had been there many times and spoke very highly of "Mike".Although our stay at the Stellina was good the next time I go to skiathos I will definitely be staying at the oasis if there are any spare rooms which may be unlikely! !

Great location
Lovely hotel within walking distance of Skiathos town and also the airport. My husband loved walking there everyday to watch the planes coming and going. The hotel staff were very nice and the rooms very clean. It was a bit quiet when we were there but it was towards the end of the season. We would love to go back there again next year. The Island the the Greek people are lovely, and we have never talked to so many people on holiday before, both locals and holidaymakers. Its a very friendly place. I can see why people return here year after year.

Outdated noisy hotel with bad facilities
We had a terrible experience, we got a room which did not have a proper bathroom, everything looked shabby and grotty. Staff couldn't help with anything. Place to avoid. Expedia should review this hotel information on it's website as it's totally misleading and incorrect. We felt let down and robbed as the price we paid (GBP65/night) was excessive vs. the poor service value and experience we have received in this hotel.

Wonderful experience
We loved this hotel! The staff was amazing and the hotel was clean. The rooms are older rooms but AC is available. We were within walking distance of downtown which was perfect for us. We would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Very good value
As a budget conscious traveller, stellina was ideal for my needs. It's within an easy walk of the airport and the town. The pool is huge, clean, and very refreshing. Drinks at the bar are very reasonable and the staff were without exception warm, welcoming and helpful. It was the ideal base to explore skiathos from. My room was cleaned every day and there was a balcony to enjoy my cigarettes on. A very happy stay.
