The room cleaning was not done promptly, and the staff was not friendly enough, especially the breakfast staff. Additionally, the breakfast was average.

Staff were rude at reception, made any request difficult and as for trying to move around the hotel - it was a nightmare to access the rooms to the rooftop. Would also recommend a torch to get around the room. Very dark finish.

The smell inside the hotel was horrific. Our room smelt like sewage and we couldn’t leave the toilet door open. It’s all we could smell all night. I raised it with reception but they could only offer bleach to clean the toilet. The room was also ridiculously dark, if you’re a female needing to do make up, make sure you take an extra light or vanity mirror with a light. Everything else was fine, the hotel was clean, staff lovely and beds comfortable. It was just a shame we couldn’t sleep because of the smell and couldn’t wait to leave!

Wanted a credit card to charge for damage after we left, yet doesn't check the room with you before you go. Average room with silverfish in the bathroom :-(. Poor value for money without the pest infestation that no refund was offered for.

Parking is always a concern but with a large secure NCP very close by i felt ok. The staff were polite and exremely helpful. Room was good with a great mattress, a good nights sleep with blackout curtains. The food was presented well and tasted delicious. Thankyou Malmaison we will book again.
